Good Hiking Gone Bad

Moani and I went on our weekly hike mission on Sunday. This time, the target was Mariner's Ridge. Pretty chill path that meandered up through rocky terrain, forrested areas, and loose dirt hilly regions... as pictured above.

Unleash The Hound(s)

Spotted this Cerberus (triple headed hell hound) a few months back while i was waiting for my morning magical bus ride. You can see my shadowy form on the car door.

Shields Up

I think about this quote often:

At first, I thought it was essentially a rewrite of the old "nothing ventured, nothing gained" adage; but I've come to give it much higher regard. It's easy to understand and calculate how venturing (risk taking) comes into play. I think the converse is a lot less obvious. At what point does something (even a good thing) become a shield, blocking you from experience, rather than a sword, capable of carving out a niche, but also apt to nick up your fingers or miss the mark.

Back to the Start

The first website I created was a fairly cheesy, Microsoft Frontpage built eyesore back in 1997. Content was limited to the usual "about me" fluff, a slightly disturbing "choose your own adventure" text based game (which always had the same ending, no matter what paths you chose), and a section called "news"; which quickly become the only thing I ever updated. My blogspot will essentially be an extension of those early efforts: a place to jot down thoughts and ideas. I hope this effort doesn't fall by the wayside like so many blogs before it.
