Roo Fest

My coworker Tony brought this bad boy back from Australia. I hope to travel there some day. Apparently, tree hug style is the norm in Sydney... Out of necessity. If only the united states was forced to deal with the realty of 'waste water, that's fine, but now you have nothing to drink. Nice.' Maybe then we'd collectively tighten up our game.

Nik Notes

Instead of using notebooks, I gather up all the pointless print outs around my office and jot down my daily notes and phone conversation snippets. Even though I go through several sheets a day of these recycled papers, I barely make a debt in our full stack of "to be discarded" former trees. Its sad really.

Sleeper creeper

This is what 6 hours of drinking at a football game will do to you. In Tim's defense though, he rallied once UH got off their asses and actually made a game of it. Hopefully, we won't collectively fall asleep against Notre Dame in the Hawaii Bowl!...

AAA

This is an example of what I call an AAA... All Angle Attack. Basically, trying to work too many things at once. Pick an activity and go with it playa! A stroll on the beach is nice, but is the bike really needed? And what about that surfboard... Gonna just ditch your wheels and go by sea? Then of course there's the hound. I'm all for critters and all, but damn, leave the pooch at home next time... You've got enough going on as it is to keep you occupied.

That all said, Kailua beach was once again spectacular. Stayed until sunset this time around. What a great way to wind down the weekend.

Beach Daze

I have to say, Kailua beach is the sheeeeet. Moani and I have been getting out there every chance we get, even when it's gloomy in town. Aside from a day or two with so-so conditions, our spot has been more or less aces for us. The above pic doesn't do much to convey how spectacular a day it was this past weekend... I was trying to zoom in on a young sand piper looking bird. But anyway, if you live in Hawaii, and DON'T do regular beach missions (even if its just for a walk down the Waikiki beach path), then seriously, you are wasting untold amounts of $$$. The cost of living here is sky high... and for good reason: we live in paradise! You don't shell out big bucks for a luxury car and then leave it in the garage untouched do you? In my opinion, anyone that doesn't reap the rewards of Hawaii's beached is basically throwing money away on their rent or mortgage. I'll get off my soapbox now for lunch.
